The Rotating Equipment Engineer shall be responsible for the following: Developing basic design; detailed engineering and procurement related activities of Rotating Equipment/packages such as pumps; compressors; blowers; and refrigeration units. Developing rotating equipment specifications and commissioning guidelines for the equipment. Providing rotating equipment information throughout the various proposal; engineering and construction phases to the project team. Provide the technical expertise to assist in achieving accuracy in project piping and instrumentation drawings (P& IDs). Within the latitude permitted by his position; preventing the overrunning of rotating equipment budgets; both in manpower terms and purchased equipment costs on assigned projects. Issuing requests for quotations; purchase specifications; bid evaluations; and purchase requisitions. Reviewing and approving vendor documentation for rotating equipment on assigned projects. Participating in inspections and testing of equipment as required. Participating in equipment checkout and commissioning as required....
