It is a dual role: That of a Sr. Analyst developer, working on varied assignments (individually or as part of a larger team) and also that of an SME to the offshore team. * 7+ year of Mainframe experience with at least 3+ in a lead role. * 5-10 years of experience designing and developing system enhancement on any one or more of Systematics core applications viz,. IMPACS, Savings Time , Relationship Management, ALS * For 3+ year playing the role of an SME , providing information / answers / solutions / clarifications on all aspects of the application viz. architecture, business flows, code framework and possess a deep domain knowledge. * Will Use current best practices and Organizational quality norms to design and deliver high quality functionality enhancements that meet requirements, on an agreed schedule. * Will be the “go to” person for all application related queries on the offshore team. * Involved in resolving critical production issues and in customer implementation and support activities. * Coaches and mentors other team members through formalized training sessions and / or working with them closely on a day to day basis * Applies expertise in business domain and the product so as to understand requirements in depth. Disseminates requirement specifications clearly to the development teams so as to ensure accurate understanding .Interface with Product team members and/or the customers to define/agree on the requirement scope and statement of work clearly Also analyze and evaluate impact of changes proposed and provide a high-level effort estimate. * Keep abreast of mandate changes in the domain so as to incorporate appropriate changes in the product. * Perform an impact and feasibility analysis to evaluate required changes with focus on reusability of existing functionality and provide an accurate effort estimate for the projected scope of work. * Code for complex modules which require in-depth domain knowledge, inline with the technical design and coding standards so as to deliver error free output. * Define and execute unit test cases based on the technical design/functional design in a way that is comprehensive and verifies accuracy of developed features. * Performs thorough and comprehensive Technical design reviews, Code reviews and unit test case reviews on the output of other team members * Provide fixes to complex issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact of the defect. * Perform Lead roles (when required) and work closely with the managers in tracking deliverable adhering to expectations and defined SLAs. ...
