Tooling Design Skill:- • Understand the safety disc products which includes: o Function o Types o Applications o Complete BOM of safety discs o Testing methods • Manufacturing methods of safety disc products through MSs, MWIs etc. • Understand Tooling methods of existing products from tool design, tool manufacturing, presses availability point of view • Documentation of tooling drawings, designs available for existing products • Understand Problems faced during manufacturing because of improper tool design • Improvements in existing tool design based on failures feed back and general design principles • Re-engineering- ‘tooling design and drawings’ for existing products where tooling details are not available • Understanding the drawing standards and creation of drawings as per standards. • Laying new procedures, work instructions for existing discs and for new discs • Documentation of all tooling designs, drawings for discs based on the above WIs • Learning EDMS and document control through EDMS • Strive for Error free design and drawing out put for tooling and cost reduction in existing tooling designs. • Interact with local vendors whenever requirements arise to source tooling out of India – This includes getting vendor quotes, short-listing good vendors, liasioning till finish product is completed. • Should build, test, & validate the tooling designed. • Should interact with engineers at other affiliates to provide support on tooling drawings. ...
