Java/ Grails Web Developer - Job Description • Responsibilities: • Serve as front-end application engineer for standards-based web and mobile device applications • Be the team expert in client-side implementation languages with heavy, heavy emphasis on JavaScript, particularly jquery. • Write semantic markup combined with CSS leading to seamless deployments to today's desktop and mobile browsers • Translate designs into easy-to-use and testable product implementations • Actively participate in product feature and design discussions to help shape products. • Experience in logistics and supply ch ain industry is a huge plus Experience Area: • Solid Development experience in Java, J2EE and JavaScript • Passion for developing applications in a Groovy/Grails environment • Experience in writing scalable web applications • Solid experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript (specifically jQuery). HTML5/ CSS3 experience is a huge plus. • Fluency in JDBC, Hibernate, or similar ORM frameworks • Fluency in Spring or similar dependency injection frameworks • Experience with web based mapping tools such as Google maps is a huge plus • Experience with web sockets or atmosphere framework is a huge plus • Knowledge of shell and other scripting languages (Python, Groovy, Scala, Erlang or Ruby) is a plus.
