Job Description Name of the company : Mahindra Satyam Position : Analyst Qualification : MBA(Any) Batch : 2012 & 13 Job Location : Chennai Package : 2.5L PA Job Description: Prime responsibilities will be to assist senior analyst’s, & team leaders in the implementation and ongoing support of client’s reference data and market data platform. To be able to carry out operational procedures around data cleansing, consolidation and golden copy creation based on standard operating procedures. Setting up security pricing validation rules within the platform for creating exceptions based on tolerances, hierarchies or other parameters. Setting up new instruments for different asset classes. Price analysis and validation on a daily basis to ensure that securities are accurately updated. Collection, analysis, verification, and distribution of securities pricing data, corporate actions and tax data. Research, identify and complete all open security set up and maintenance tasks in a timely manner Collection and distribution of information regarding closed markets. Assisting the team with timely and accurate delivery of validated price, exchange rate and Market data for all internal valuation points. Assist in key project work, assuming responsibility for ensuring that key deliverables and milestones are met. Skill Set Mandatory Skills: The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. High degree of analytical thinking. Ability to understand the importance of the role & the activities performed. A keen interest in financial markets. Have excellent organisational skill and superior attention to detail. Secondary Skills: Experience with market data providers include: Telekurs, Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC / FTID, IDS, Markit, Rimes and Factset. Suitable candidates will have a background in one of investment management, investment banking/private banking/trading environment or have worked for a data vendor in an operational capacity. Good product knowledge across equity, fixed income and derivatives products. Knowledge of corporate actions Having proven experience of working in a fast-moving environment where ability to deliver is paramount. Experience of liaising with clients and key stakeholders. Knowledge of data quality measurements methodology and reporting tools. Strong knowledge of MS Office tools and in specific MS Excel and similar data manipulation tools. Ability to work on tight deadlines and to be flexible with shifts.
