*Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures for Purchase. * Should be proficiency in Hindi. * Excellent contacts with across India in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors. * Should have thorough knowledge in Tender Procedure. * Should have thorough knowledge in VAT and Other States Tax Procedures. * Excellent knowledge in Import/ Export licence details. * Should have excellent tracking records for Post Orders. * Should have excellent monitoring mechanism for Stores activities as well as from Vendors to Site, goods in Transit, and materials sent through Courier. *Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. *Approval of processes requisitions; bid specifications and other necessary *documents related to the purchase of supplies, materials and equipment. *Liaise with DGCA, Airport Authorities and other local authorities for procuring premises for the use of the Company in the most cost effective manner. *Cost comparison and evaluation of the quality and suitability of supplies, materials and equipment. *Interviews and corresponds with vendors; keeps informed of new products and market conditions and trends *Confers with and assists officials of all departments to determine purchasing needs and specifications. *Corresponds with internal customers to ensure that the airlines needs are handled expeditiously. *Maintains records on purchase price information on both open market and contract purchases and revises these as conditions changes; obtains quotations on open market purchases. *Analyzes purchasing trends to determine the most appropriate process that would provide the most cost effective solution benefit the Company. *Assists in the supervision and training of less experienced buying personnel and generally is responsible for the supervision of one procurement assistant. *Performs purchase related work as and when required from the Top Management. *Directs and oversees an organization's purchasing function; *Develops policies related to the procurement of goods and services. *Reports to top management...
